Action Toward Independence makes available to individuals an interest-free loan in the maximum amount of $250. Application and eligibility determination is required. Repayment of the loan is in minimum increments of $10. These programs allows individuals options that would not normally be available to them due to limited budgets. We are accepting applications. Loans will be given out on a first come first serve basis as funds are replenished.

Loan applicants must be Orange County residents who are 18 years of age or older and who are, or have been, recipients of mental health services.  To apply please complete an application and submit all required supporting documentation.  Approval of the loan will be determined after all records have been received and if the applicant can feasibly make a minimum payment of $10 a month. Loans ranging from $10 up to $250 may be obtained and are interest free.
